Barnsdall and Copan Fall in Regionals
Regional action was not kind to area teams on Thursday evening, as tough matcups have knocked clubs to the consolation bracket.
Both Copan and Barnsdall lost their first-round regional matchups against tough opponents. First in Class B – Copan fell against Timberlake 80-54. The Hornets will now face elimination against Coyle at 3:00 PM on Friday afternoon. That game will be played in Coyle, so it is a road contest for its season for Copan.
In Class A, Barnsdall lost at Frontier High, 72-52. That is the first loss to a Class A team all season long for the Panthers. Barnsdall will now face elimination on Friday at 8:00 PM against Summit Christian Academy.
Both Copan and Barnsdall will have to win two straight games to advance to area.
