The Washington County Board of Commissioners is looking for ways to keep expenses down and revenues up in the County. District 1 Commissioner Mitch Antle said that a four year contract approved during Monday's meeting would help ensure that residential properties will be assessed correctly.

Emergency Manager Kary Cox said that another way to save the county some money is to become part of the state's purchase card program.

Many vendors will not accept purchase orders because it takes too long to get paid. The state's purchase card program is like using a debit card.
