Dewey Man Arrested For Second Degree Burglary

A Dewey man is in custody after he allegedly broke into a business.  23-year old Brady Calvin Shafer is charged with second degree burglary and attempt second degree burglary.  Dewey police were called to Peter's True Value store to investigate a possible burglary.

According to a court affidavit, officers saw a broken window, saw glass and small spots of blood on the floor.  The store's security camera showed a man walking to the store's parking lot and tried to break into a trailer.  Reportedly, while on patrol, officers saw the suspect that matched the description of the video near the Ranch Motel in Dewey.  Shafer took off running and was later arrested.

Shafer's next court date is June 19th.  Bond was set at $25,000.
