The May meeting of the Bartlesville Redevelopment Trust Authority (BRTA) began with an update from Mark Haskell from Downtown Bartlesville Incorporated.

Haskell announced that in the 5 years since the initiation of the Downtown Bartlesville Inc (DBI), Main Street Program, progress towards revitalization and investment into downtown Bartlesville has been very successful.

With more than $12.1 million invested into downtown Bartlesville, community involvement continues to grow.

Haskell did announce that DBI will continue efforts to restore and revitalize the downtown district, but under a new name. After the annual meeting in June, DBI will transition into Main Street Bartlesville.

The May meeting came to a close after Chris Wilson, BRTA Executive Director, provided the trustees with the Executive Director Report.

Highlighted from the directors report was the total BRTA investment versus total invested reserve. Of the $687,000 the BRTA has invested into Bartlesville, it has accrued almost $1.2 million in reserve, providing evidence that the BRTA continues to be successful investing in Bartlesville.

The Bartlesville Redevelopment Trust Authority will met next in late June.
