This month's rain has been a blessing and a curse for our state. The much needed water has washed out many events, including an annual Trail Drive up Highway 75 towards the 22nd Annual Tractor, Flea Market, Tractor Pull, and Engine Show “Pioneer Days”.

Don Clifford, president of the Caney Valley Antique Power Association, says when it storms it can be too dangerous to drive the tractors down the highway as planned. The organization took a vote to decide if they would ride the tractors or haul them to Copan.

The Trail drive acts as a teaser for the community to get excited about the event.  It takes place May 29 through 31, 3 and a half miles north of Caney, Kansas on Highway 75. For more information visit http://www.cvapa.com
