Dewey High School Seniors Ready for the Next Step

The 103rd Annual Dewey High School Commencement started right on time and beat the rain on Friday night. Ninety-two seniors put on the red cap and gown and took their seats at the 50-yard line of Bulldogger Stadium. A class history beginning with first grade in the Dewey Public School System was told in three parts. Senior Class President Jaycie Nickerson gave the story of elementary school, followed by Senior Class Vice-President Madison Wilson with the tale of middle school. Senior Class Secretary Erica Adams finished up with the high school years.

Valedictory Addresses were presented by Ashlee Adams and Casey Beaver, followed by the band playing “Soar With Eagles” with several seniors participating. Valedictory Addresses were also presented by Thomas Black, Madison Brown and Brynna Burnett. Principal Brent Dugger presented the class.

School Board President Chad Williams presented the diplomas with the closing by Principal Dugger.
