This Saturday will be the 11th Annual Dawg Days of Summer. A low cost pet vaccination clinic hosted by Rita Harvey, veteran Bartlesville Animal Control Officer and organizer for Unchained Bartlesville.

The event will be taking place at Johnston Park in Bartlesville and is open to all pet owners. Rita Harvey spoke to us about the event and offered services.

The Washington County SPCA will also have animals available for adoption at the park.

Along with pet services, there will be treats for the owners. David Valdez owner of Bartlesville Ice Cream will be there with ice cream, and Shadey's Chuckwagon will be selling pizza.

The event provides affordable vet services and is the “brain-child” of the late Paula Blower, former WCSPCA Manager, who passed away 3 years ago.

Veterinarians for the event are Dr. Charles Stites, Dewey Vet Clinic and Dr.  Jan Johnson, Johnston Veterinary Clinic Pawhuska. If owners have any questions regarding vaccinations or services they may call Dr. Stites at the Dewey Vet Clinic at 918-534-3150.
