Oklahoma Legislators Working to Reduce Budget Deficit

It's a known fact that the state of Oklahoma is facing a $611-million deficit. Where to begin is the hardest part of budget cuts. Oklahoma state senator John Ford said that education is very important but he has a suggestion for cutting costs.

Ford said that would save a couple of million dollars per year and it's also good policy. The Board of Corrections is also expected to see some adjustment. Bills are still being heard on the House and Senate floors so nothing is written in stone but legislators have a lot of work ahead of them.
