Pawhuska residents lost phone, internet and cell phone service early Wednesday afternoon. Bill Lynch, a KWON 1400 news reporter, went to Pawhuska to find out what the problem was.

Pawhuska police reported that ODOT workers on Highway 60, west of Pawhuska, inadvertently hit the AT&T fiber optics line running from Bartlesville to Pawhuska along with copper lines running to many rural homes.

PPD reported that emergency services were disrupted by the outage but not cut off all together. AT&T workers were able to make the repairs before 6pm and regular services are expected to be restored Wednesday evening.
