The Bartlesville area turned out Christmas Day for a dinner meal and fellowship at the Adams Blvd. Church of Christ as the "Friends In Deed" organization hosted its annual dinner.  Early indications show that 2014 may be the biggest event yet for the group. One of the organizers for the event, Betty Dalrymple says about halfway through the day they had fed more than before.

In addition to the meal there was musical entertainment.  Dalrymple says some people came as families while others came by themselves.  The group provided transportation for those who needed it while they delivered a Christmas dinner to others.  She says it's a way to say "Merry Christmas" to those who may not be with family and friends on the day.

Friends in Deed solicits donations of food and money throughout the year in order to make the day special.
