Christmas Tree Safety

While you are celebrating your Christmas, stay safe this year. According to the National Fire Protection Association, Christmas Tree fires account for more than 18 million dollars in property damage each year.  The majority of these fires start from live trees that have dried out. Simply by keeping your live tree watered can prevent fires. In addition, not overloading the tree with lights or putting malfunctioning lights on a tree will help with fire safety. Remember, although guests are great to have at Christmas, you wouldn't want to have to host first responders there for an emergency.
