Osage County voters who want to have an absentee ballot mailed to them for the January 13th Shidler School election should apply now.  Election Board Secretary Andrea Connor says that while the county election board can accept applications for an absentee ballot until 5 o'clock the afternoon of January 7th, she urgest you to apply now.

Abasentee ballot application forms are available at the county election board office at 630 Kihekah Avenue in Pawhuska.  You can also download the application form online from www.elections.ok.gov.

Connor says at least two postal transactions must be made.  The county needs to mail you the ballot and you must return the marked ballot by mail. The ballot has to be in the hands of the election board by 7 o'clock the evening of election day in order for it to be counted.
