A man nicknamed 'J-Rock', Jeremy Charles Harper ,is in jail on a 100 thousand dollar bond for aggravated assault and battery, robbery, and conspiracy to commit a robbery. According to a court affidavit, Bartlesville Police were called to a home on the 900 block of Yale where the victim Thomas Selby lived. Upon arrival Selby informed officers that his keys were stolen. Upon investigation, officers found that both Selby's vehicles were taken from the home. After some investigation, it was found that Harper and another man went to Selby's home, beat him up and took his keys and cars. The police spoke with the mother of the second man, who told his mother that he was on his way to Alabama and was about to cross the Oklahoma state line into Arkansas. BPD gave descriptions of both vehicles to Arkansas State Police who stopped both vehicles. Harper and three others in the cars were arrested for possession of stolen property and illegal narcotics. Harper's next court date is set for January 16 at 9:30.
