A Tulsa native faces charges of possession of stolen property, vehicle theft, and possession of a firearm after a felony. Rashad Samir Scott appeared in Washington County District Court Tuesday to face the charges brought against him after items a stolen truck led police to his apartment. According to a court affidavit, Bartlesville Police searched Scott's apartment and found stolen items including a Smith and Wesson 40 caliber handgun. After being taken into custody, Scott admitted to stealing the truck and that the items in the truck and in his apartment were not his. Scott has a previous conviction in California for robbery, carjacking, evading police, and a hit and run where a person was injured or killed. Scott will next appear before Judge Vaclaw for a preliminary hearing January 16 at 9:30, bond for Scott was set at 75 thousand dollars.
