Richard And Rupert Appear In Court

A Lenapah man and an Independence, Kansas man remains in the Washington County Jail after being arrested for allegedly taking a trailer and trying to sell it.  54-year old David Wayne Richard and 49-year old Robert Glen Rupert are charged with grand larceny.  According to a court affidavit, a vehicle was seen on a surveillance camera backing up to a trailer at a business in the 400 block of SW Adeline.  A short time later, the vehicle was seen leaving with the trailer in tow.  A couple of days later, Bartlesville police saw the vehicle driving in the west side of town and conducted a traffic stop.  Richard told the police he took the trailer to Kansas for the night and the following day went to Vinita to sell the trailer.  Both Richard and Rupert's next court date is January 16th.  Bond remains at $75,000 each.
