Washington County Special Judge John Gerkin held a probable cause hearing for 54-year old David Wayne Richard of Independence, Kansas and 49-year old Robert Glen Rupert of Lenapah who were arrested for grand larceny.  According to a court affidavit, a vehicle was seen on a surveillance camera backing up to a trailer at a business in the 400 block of SW Adeline.  A short time later, the vehicle was seen leaving with the trailer in tow.  A couple of days later, Bartlesville police saw the vehicle driving in the west side of Bartlesville and conducted a traffic stop.  Reportedly, Richard produced an expired Kansas Drivers License and didn't provide insurance.  Both suspects denied taking the trailer.  Richard told the police he took the trailer to Kansas for the night and the following day went to Vinita to sell the trailer.  Both Richard and Rupert's next court date is December 22nd when charges are expected to be filed.  Bond was set at $75,000 a piece.
