Opossum Bridge Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Set

Nowata County Commissioner Tim Kilpatrick would like to invite the public to a ribbon cutting ceremony at Bridge #24 over Opossum Creek on Monday, December 22nd at 9:30 A.M.  The bridge is located on NS 413 about 3.2 miles south of the Oklahoma/Kansas line.  The project was designed by Guy Engineering Services of Tulsa and consisted of replacing the existing 122 foot long bridge.  The new bridge is 32 foot wide, 182 feet long, three span pre-stressed concrete beam bridge.  The project was constructed by Belk Bridge, Inc. from Broken Arrow.  The new bridge cost $1.5 million dollars and was funded by County Improvements for Roads and Bridges.
