50 years after its original dedication, and 20 years after it closed, a gift to the children of Bartlesville was rededicated Wednesday. The Goff Play Tower at Sooner Park, after a massive restoration effort, opened for use by all the children of Bartlesville, young and old. When the tower was originally built it cost approximately 7 thousand dollars. The restoration cost about 180 thousand dollars and was primarily raised through donations. At a ribbon cutting Wednesday afternoon Mayor Tom Gorman thanked those who donated.

Lisa Beeman, Interim Parks Director, says after the work to raise the money and get the tower restored, it's worth it to see the kids excited to go up the tower.

The tower will be open whenever the park is open.
