The Oklahoma Department of Transportation will close a portion of U.S. 60 on Monday.  All lanes of east and westbound US-60 will be closed to through traffic between the Sate Highway 66 and State Highway 28 junctions (west of Vinita) from 6 o'clock Monday morning until mid-July for a bridge replacement project.

The $822,000 project will replace the bridge over Madden Creek. Drivers will be directed to use State Highway 28 and State Highway 66 to detour around this closure, and will need to plan ahead for extra travel time in this area. The overall project is expected to complete in late August, weather permitting.
