Silverlake Extension Gets Asphalt
After months of delays caused by rain and snow, a major milestone has been reached on the Silverlake Road Extension. Asphalt is being laid on the North side of the extension, in front of Evan's Nursery. Bartlesville Engineering Supervisor Micah Siemers says that the first two layers of asphalt are complete and that his crews could complete asphalt work through to Beck Drive by the end of the week and have all the asphalt laid within a few weeks.
Siemers goes on to say that work on the traffic signals will continue when more asphalt has been laid.
The project was slated to be finished by April and even with all the weather delays, Siemers expects completion by late April or May.
