Bartlesville Radio Wins Awards
The Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters announced their 2013 Outstanding Achievement Award winners Wednesday afternoon and Bartlesville Radio won awards in three categories. KWON Sports won best sportscast for the third time in four year. Bartlesville Radio's sports team features David Crawford and Adam Hooper. Newscaster Jonathan Eastman won an award for best feature story for his coverage of the Washington County Emergency Management's active shooter drill at Washington Park Mall and also received a third place for a commercial spot written by Sharon Frahm. KWON was also awarded a community service award for their support of the Bartlesville area. Finally, KWON was announced as one of three finalists for Oklahoma Station of the Year. Joining KWON is KOFM out of Enid and KWOX in Woodward. The Oklahoma Station of the Year will be announced at the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters' Awards Banquet March 28th.
