Nowata County Agenda Posted
The Nowata County Board of Commissioners will perform its inspection of the county jail Monday morning. The tour fulfills a committment under the law for the commissioners to insure that the jail meets standards. The agenda for Monday morning's meeting also calls for the commission to appoint someone to the Nowata County Industrial Authority board. The agenda does not comply with requirements under the Oklahoma Open Meetings Act to name the person the board of commissioners plans to appoint.
Nowata County Commissioners expect to take up a supplemental agreement concerning the bridge and approaches to California Creek about a mile and a half west and a mile north of Delaware. The board also expects to take action on a right of way service agreement with Meshek & Associates PLC concerning a project at Bridge 69 over Curl Creek.
A bid opening for the purchase of a dump truck is also on the agenda. The board of commissioners tabled the award of the bid earlier this month.
Monday morning's Nowata County Board of Commissioners meeting is set for the Nowata County Annex Meeting room across the street from the courthouse. The agenda does not state the time of the meeting as required under the Oklahoma Open Meetings Act, but the board typically meets at 9 o'clock.
