Dearman Appears In Court
A $150,000 bond has been set for a Tulsa man who faces a number of felony charges. 40-year old Larry Joe Dearman is charged with four counts of embezzlement, seven counts of conspiracy, and seven counts of obtaining money by false pretence. The charges allege he conspired and obtained money by false pretense from seven people. Charges of conspiracy allege Dearman conspired with 50-year Marya Gray to divert the money so that he could use the funds. Court records indicate Dearman and Gray obtained $836,000 by false pretense. If Dearman is found guilty of all charges he would be responsible for up to $110,000 in fines and/or up to 180 years in prison. Dearman's next court date is November 15th.
The other suspect Marya Gray faces seven counts of conspiracy. She did not appear in court.
