Bartlesville Man Arrested On Burglary Charge
A $50,000 bond has been set for a Bartlesville man who allegedly broke into a woman's home. 34-year old Bryan Lee Ward is charged with first degree burglary, disrupt an emergency call, and carrying a weapon. Bartlesville police were called to investigate a possible burglary at a home in the 1900 block of South Johnstone Place. According to a court affidavit, a woman told the police that Ward entered her home without permission and demanded money. The victim wanted to call the police, but Ward took the phone away. Reportedly, the woman pulled a large knife on the suspect and scared him away. Officers went to Ward's apartment and questioned him about the incident. Ward told the police he went to the woman's home and asked her for money and admitted he took the phone away. The authorities found in Ward's possession a weapon. Court records indicate that Ward has several convictions in Washington, Rogers, and Kay counties. Ward's next court date is this Friday.
