Lamb On World War II Memorial
The Federal Government partial shutdown has been going on for the last couple of weeks closing national parks and other government services, but one of the memorials in Washington D.C. that has been in the news lately is the World War II Memorial. Many World War II veterans take advantage of a day trip to Washington D.C. to see the memorial. The first days of the government shutdown, barricades have blocked the entrance of the memorial. But a group of veterans went inside the memorial anyway. Oklahoma has participated in the program since 2010. During a recent Community Connection program on KWON, Lt. Governor Todd Lamb explained the program. You can hear the entire interview on our website at www.bartlesvilleradio.com, go to on demand and click to community connection icon.
