Bartlesville Man Arrested For Burglary
A $50,000 bond has been set for a Bartlesville man who allegedly stole a pickup truck and led police in a chase. 26-year old Robert Wesley Scott is charged with first degree burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding, and driving with a suspended license. Bartlesville police was looking for a white pickup truck that came from Pryor. According to a court affidavit, while investigating another case on 9th Street, officers noticed the pickup coming towards them. The officer ordered the driver to stop, but instead sped away. The police searched the area and located the truck parked behind an abandoned house in the 500 block of East 8th Street. Reportedly, Scott came out of the house and was taken into custody. Scott told the police he borrowed the truck from a friend. The authorities learned that Scott's license was revoked and had a warrant out of Washington County. Scott's next court date is November 15th.
