Scott Preliminary Hearing Set
A January 9th, 2014 preliminary hearing is set for a Bartlesville man who allegedly stole a pickup truck and led police in a chase. 26-year old Robert Wesley Scott is charged with first degree burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding, and driving with a suspended licence. Bartlesville police were looking for a white pickup truck that came from Pryor that was reportedly stolen. According to a court affidavit, the police were working on another case when they noticed the pickup coming toward them. The officer ordered the driver to stop, but he instead sped away. The police found the truck parked behind an abandoned house in the 500 block of East 8th Street. Scott reportedly came out of the house and was taken into custody. Scott told the police he borrowed the truck from a friend. Scott remains in jail on a $50,000 bond.
