The Caney Valley Trojans baseball team continues to lead the way in terms of success around the area. The Trojans are 17-5 on the season with just a few weeks of regular season play remaining.

Following a 3-1 weekend at the Northeast Valley Conference Festival, Caney Valley blew past Pawhuska for a two-game district sweep. The Trojans won 6-1 on Monday afternoon in the Osage and then followed up 12-0 run-rule shortened home victory on Tuesday.

Daniel Barham went 5 1/3 innings on the mound in game one. The right-hander allowed just one run and struck out 11 Pawhuska batters to record the win. Cooper Brim and Bryer Kramer each had multiple hits in the win. Kramer would two hits and three runs batted in during Tuesday’s blowout victory.

Caney Valley is 9-1 in April with the lone loss coming on Thursday at Oklahoma Union. The Trojans have a road game with Pawnee on Thursday.
