A memorandum of understanding regarding a parking lot agreement was approved during the Washington County Commissioners meeting on Monday morning.

District One Commissioner Mitch Antle said the agreement was between the Commissioners, the County Offices of the District Judge, the District Attorney, and the Court Clerk, and the Washington County Courthouse Building Commission. He said they passed a simpler form of the memorandum two weeks ago.

In essence, all offices that compromised the Building Commission are included in the agreement. However, it defaults to the District Judge of the District Court to continue management of that.

Commissioner Antle said District Judge Russell Vaclaw took the time to delineate clearly the spaces that the District Court, the District Attorney and Court Clerk needed. He said the Courts would get 25 parking spaces in the newly constructed parking lot between the Courthouse and the County Administration Building along Johnstone Avenue in Bartlesville. The Courts would also get six spaces in an existing lot to the south of the Courthouse.
