$10K Raised for Injured Bartlesville Firefighter

A benefit Cornhole Tournament was held on Saturday, May 30th to help a Bartlesville firefighter who was badly burnt in an accident while at home. Bartlesville Fire says their brother is doing better every day.

Bartlesville Fire Captain Adam Butterfield said they raised $4,600 for their friend. He said they had a great turnout for the Cornhole Tournament at the Ochelata Ball Fields that last weekend in May.

People from all over Oklahoma came to the benefit event. Butterfield said he believes a team from Wetumka won the tournament.

Bartlesville Fire was grateful for the food donation that was made by Monday's Stop & Shop in Ochelata. Butterfield said the contribution helped them a lot.

Another benefit event will take place on Sunday, June 28th, at 9:30 a.m. in the Pawhuska Indoor Arena. There will be a entry fee for the roping events.

There will be a live auction at 2:00 p.m. Vendors have donated numerous items. There will be a full concession available. Perkin's Cattle will furnish the steers.

There will be a #13 handicap team roping starting at 10:00 a.m. Books opens at 9:00 a.m. to enter. The cost is $100 per man, you enter one and they will draw you one. You may add on for $50 a run. One second handicap per team number.

A #9 and #11 will not start before noon. The cost is $75 per man. You can enter one and they'll draw you two. You must enter twice before adding on. Add-ons are $25 per run. The #9 is capped at a #5 elite. The #11 has no cap.

All roping’s are four head, progressive after one. There will be a regular barrier ran with the #13. A World Series barrier will be used for the #9 and the #11. Yocham's Breast Collars will be awarded to the high money winner of the #9 and the #11.

In total, $10,000 has been raised so far for the Bartlesville firefighter that was badly burnt in an accident at home.
