Small Increase in Local COVID-19 Case Numbers

COVID-19 continues to makes its presence felt in Oklahoma with 565 cases being reported by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There are 23 total deaths in the state as well.

Locally, there are 21 cases being reported in Washington County. Osage County is now reporting 16 positive cases and Nowata County is listing four confirmed cases of coronavirus. No deaths have been reported in the tri-county area. Washington County has the fifth most cases of any county in Oklahoma despite being the 14th most populous county in the state.

Governor Stitt’s “Safer at Home” order is now in effect for all 77 counties. No gatherings in groups larger than 10 people are allowed. People age 65 or older or those with a compromised immune system must shelter at home. Also, only essential businesses must remain open.
