It is a decision that Bartlesville Mayor Dale Copeland is not taking lightly. Tonight, at 7 p.m. during an emergency city council meeting, Copeland will declare a State of Emergency for the city in response to Covid-19, the coronavirus deemed a pandemic by the World Health Organization.

Following the declaration, the council will consider approval of an ordinance outlining several provisions, including measures already enacted by the council as well as further restricting access to some local businesses — up to and including closure.

Mayor Copeland and City Manager Mike Bailey appeared this morning on our City Talk program at 9:20 a.m. layed out what we should expect at tonight's emegency meeting. (PROGRAMMING NOTE: KWON will carry tonight's emergency meeting live on the air and with straming video on Facebook Live)
