Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball will wrap up its 2019-2020 regular season with a Saturday evening battle at Kansas Wesleyan in Salina, Kansas. It’s quite possible that this could be the first of two straight games against the Coyotes as both the Eagles and Lady Eagles most likely paring in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament would be against KWU.

The Lady Eagles narrowly qualified among the top eight teams in the KCAC. Kansas Wesleyan clinched the KCAC title after Wednesday’s victory. The Lady ‘Yotes beat up OKWU in Bartlesville 85-62 on January 11. Lady Eagles head coach Grace Hadley knows the matchup against KWU will be challenging.

The men’s team currently sits in second place ahead of the finale. Ottawa already celebrated the KCAC title on Wednesday. The Eagles are fighting to hold onto second, which would give them the possibility of two home games in the KCAC tournament.

The 14th-ranked Eagles beat up on the Coyotes in the first matchup, 80-66. Tipoff from Salina is set for 5 p.m. You can listen to radio coverage of the doubleheader on Sportstalk 99.1 FM—KPGM.
