The gavel was handed to the new chairman of the Washington County Commissioners on Monday during the Commissioners’ first meeting of the year.

District One Commissioner Mitch Antle served as the Chairman for the Board of Washington County Commissioners in 2019. The gavel now belongs to District Three Commissioner Mike Dunlap. He will also serve as the Budget Board Chairman, the Tax Roll Correction Board Chairman, a member of the Washington County Building Commission, the Washington County Correctional Facilities Chairman, and the he will serve on the County Board of Health.

Following his appointment as Chairman, District Two Commissioner Mike Bouvier was declared as the Vice Chairman for the Board of Washington County Commissioners.

Several other appointments to committees, boards, and authorities the Commissioners oversee were made. Those appointments are as follows:

ACCO Legislative Committee - Antle

Job Training Northeast Committee - Antle

Circuit Engineering District No. 1 Board of Directors - Antle

Grand Gateway (Northeast) Regional Transportation Planning Organization - Antle

Once the appointments were through, the Washington County Commissioners would approve their Commissioners Committee Meetings for the 2020 Calendar Year.
