In a recent Bartlesville Development Authority meeting, action to ratify the Bartlesville City Council's appropriation of $150,000 from the Economic Development Fund was discussed.

David Wood, the BDA's President, said this was for the installation of a sanitary sewer line, and execution of the development agreement between Service and Manufacturing Corporation, the BDA, and the City of Bartlesville. He said SMC needs the sanitary sewer line from their facility just west of the Bartlesville Municipal Airport runway so they can further expand on their site.

SMC has some work stacked up and they need the space. The BDA was simply acting as a pass through. The Bartlesville City Council approved the appropriation of the $150,000 about a month ago.

Wood said the BDA had no risk involved in this. He said the Council appropriated the money, that the BDA is a party to the contract, and that the BDA needed to approve the item so that engineering can begin.

The item was approved by the Bartlesville Development Authority.
