The Bartlesville Police Department continues to be in a giving spirit during this 2019 holiday season.

Sgt. Jim Warring said the BPD donated two Crown Victoria's to the Ramona Police Department to use for their purposes on Monday morning. He said the vehicles they are donating are standard police vehicles that the BPD has used for years. The BPD now utilizes Dodge vehicles.

The Ramona Police Department is a smaller agency. Sgt. Warring said departments across the State of Oklahoma are having budget issues. He said it can be difficult to keep up with technology advancements because of those budget shortages, and said that the BPD just wants to help a neighboring department meet their needs.

Sgt. Warring said they to do this for the RPD because they have been so good to the BPD. He said it is about paying it back.

The donation to the Ramona Police Department was approved in a recent Bartlesville City Council meeting this December.
