Playoff berths are starting to take shape for several area teams as we approach high school football week 7. Oklahoma Union needs to add just two district wins to cinch a postseason bid for the second consecutive season. However, Cougars head coach Stephen Trammell says the team has its sights set higher.

OKU has quickly bounced from the Class A playoffs in 2018. It will likely take the Cougars winning their next four games to avoid going on the road in postseason play. After blowout wins over Ketchum and Quapaw the last two weeks, things will begin to toughen up for OKU. The next four opponents combined record is 13-10.

The Cougars host 4-2 commerce this week for a Thursday night battle in Lenapah.
