The Nowata County Commissioners heard from a few citizens at Monday morning’s meeting. Concerns were heard about the approval of Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Association certificates of compliance, election board procedures and road conditions.

George Houser spoke to the board about several concerning roads in district two. Chairman Doug Sonenberg stated that he did not apply for any FEMA funds to fix the roads. Sonenberg says he has road crews working every day on repairs.

Also, Emergency Management director Laurie Summers invited several members from Oklahoma Emergency Management to discuss possible solutions for fixing roads and getting other types of aid for the county.
