The Bevan Creek Bridge project located at County Road 3700 and 4000 has been moved back to the November letting. Washington County’s District 3 Commissioner Mike Dunlap said there is discrepancies in quantities everyone wants to get ironed out.

The utilities for the project have not fully been relocated as of yet. Flooding from Tuesday, May 20th of this year that lasted well into June has made things difficult for crews working with the utilities.

According to Commissioner Dunlap, the land crews are working on sat under water for two months. He said the fiasco and mess in the area does not bother him at all and that he trusts that they will get the work done.

When the Bevan Creek Bridge Project begins, the old highway leading to the bridge will be closed down. Commissioner Dunlap said another bridge was built two years ago in the area to redirect traffic so the pending project could run smoother.
