Public Service Company of Oklahoma was among a group of 14 companies recognized for hiring and supporting U.S. military veterans.

Recognition as a Veteran Employer Champion took place in a special ceremony in the Tulsa Mayor’s office Monday.

The naming of Veteran Employer Champions stems from a partnership between the Oklahoma Veteran Alliance, the Oklahoma Department of Veteran Affairs, the  Tulsa Mayor’s Office and area businesses.

PSO Vice President Tiffini Jackson of External Affairs said they are honored to receive this award and to be recognized alongside other area businesses who see value in hiring and doing business with our military veterans.

This is the second year for the Veteran Employer Champion recognition, and the second year PSO has been named to the list.
