The Oklahoma Highway Patrol continues to investigate a Sunday morning accident on U.S. 60 about a mile and a half east of Vinita in Craig County. According to the accident report 34 year-old Walter Brown of Nowata was westbound and went off the roadway to the right.  He over-corrected and ran off the roadwat on the left and hit a guardrail.  His car then continued in motion and hit an embankment.  The car then rolled three times, throwing Brown about 77 feet from the vehicle.

Air-Evac flew Brown to St. John Hospital in Tulsa where he was admitted in stable condition with head, arm, leg, and internal injuries.  The report states that Brown was not wearing a seatbelt and the officer noted an alcohol coming from Brown.
