Power Restored to VVEC Customers

At approximately 4:55 Wednesday afternoon, the Verdigris Valley Electric Cooperative was notified of a large power outage. Power supplier KAMO had a transmission line out that affected four VVEC substation the line feeds in to. There were 4,207 power outages in the Barnsdall, Collinsville, Owasso and Skiatook areas as four substations were impacted by the line outage at one point.

VVEC Executive Secretary Kimberly Loffer said KAMO crews went to the site to isolate the problem and fix the line. continuing their work to fix the issue. VVEC reports all substations are up and power has been restored to all customers.
