The Bartlesville Public Library held its annual “Battle of the Books” competition Thursday night in the Central Middle School Auditorium. Sasha Yorman and Dewey Middle School won this year’s contest. The students prepared by studying a selection of 15 books over the course of a few months. The contest included 150 questions over the selected books and Dewey Middle School students won by buzzing in, answering 45 of the questions correctly.

This yearly quiz bowl competition is based on the current nominees for the Oklahoma Sequoyah Book Award. Central Middle School, Madison Middle School, Osage Hills School, Bowring School and Dewey Middle School all participated in the “Battle of the Books” contest this year.
