A contract with School In Sites for website services was approved by the Dewey School Board on Monday evening. Dewey Superintendent Vince Vincent said School In Site has revamped their services and approached DPS about their contract with them.

While they do more on social media than on their website, Vincent believed the board should move forward with the new platform that's being offered. He said they thought they should be opportunistic now because the platform being used now will go away and when they look for another platform, the price would probably spike. The only difference would be an $800 training that didn't exist with the previous platform, Vincent said.

The price for the service will remain unchanged at $2,400 per year for 5 years. Vincent said they need to generate better content on the website and they will continue to discuss this in the future. They even threw around the idea of allowing the newly acquired high school paper class to help with website content.

The Dewey School Board also approved a license agreement with OKTLE for employee evaluations Monday night. An audit contract and engagement letter with Sanders, Bledsoe and Hewett was approved as well.

As for other items approved, the board approved a fundraiser request for concessions at local Special Olympic events for Special Education. Resignations Dewey Elementay School Assistant Principal Shawn Matheson and his wife Melody Matheson were approved too.
