Cougars Blow Out Dewey

No. 6 Oklahoma Union steamrolled Dewey in a Friday night contest, 95-44. It was a close game early on with the Doggers and Cougars matching shots. OKU led 15-11 after one quarter. Dewey was scrapping for most of the first half. However, a 9-0 run to close out the half stretched the Cougars led to 33-21 at the break.

OKU was a different team in the second half. The Cougars outscored Dewey by a whopping 61-23.  OKU head coach Lee Ott says he enjoyed the energy his team played with in the second half.

The 95 points is a new season-high. OKU has now won eight consecutive games to move to 14-1 on the season.

As for Dewey, it was a tough day offensively. Caden Baughn was the top-scorer with 11 points. The Doggers drop to 3-10 on the season.
