The Oklahoma State Senate convenes at noon on Tuesday for an organizational day for the 57th Legislature.  An organizational day is mandated under the State Constitution to be held in January following an election year to elect the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.  Former Majority Floor Leader Greg Treat of Oklahoma City is the Senate President Pro Tempore Designate. 

 

In addition to other business to be considered, members will adopt the rules for conducting Senate business for 2019 and 2020 and  will certify the results of the 2018 Senate races.

 

A joint legislative session will convene at 2 o'clock to certify the 2018 congressional election returns.
