The OKWU baseball team won its first game of a three-game conference series on Friday at Tabor College.

Eagles blasted Tabor 23-4. That is the second consecutive game that Oklahoma Wesleyan has scored more than 20 runs in a game, and the eighth straight contest the Eagles have scored more than seven runs.

The win also gives OKWU its 14th in a row. The Eagles were led by Ryan Lujan-Leonard, who went 4-5 at the plate with two home runs and seven RBIs. Despite all the wins in a row, Oklahoma Wesleyan head baseball coach Matt Parker says he always seems room for improvement.

Oklahoma Wesleyan is 23-2 and will wrap up its two-game series in Hillsboro on Saturday afternoon with a double-header against Tabor College.

The Eagles are now averaging 9.7 runs per game, which is good for No. 5 in the country in NAIA baseball.
