Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball wraps up its regular season with a home doubleheader against Kansas Wesleyan.

Eight Lady Eagle seniors will be honored before the contest. OWKU will try to bust out of a late-season offensive rut in their fight for conference tournament seeding.

The Lady Eagles have shot less than 30% from the field in two of their last three contests. Wedged in the middle of that was a captivating victory on the road against Tabor in which Danae Goodwin hit a game-winning three-pointer.

OKWU is tied for the third seed in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Coyotes are just one game behind entering play on Saturday. The Lady Eagles could end up anywhere between the second and sixth seed in the conference tournament depending on other results in the conference.

The men’s team is looking to keep it rolling after a road thumping of Bethel earlier this week. The Eagles have won five of their last six games with the only loss in that stretch coming to Tabor in overtime.

The Eagles and Coyotes are deadlocked for the second spot in the league and the winner will have a much clearer path to the KCAC tournament championship games with two potential home games on the way.

OKWU has been carried by junior guard K.J. Malveau who has averaged 20 points per contest in the last four games.

This OKWU doubleheader will get underway at 3:00 p.m. and can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM
