The Dewey City Council met on Monday evening at City Hall where their first big decision was to approve a change in zoning for two lots of land from single family residential, to multi-family residential. These lots were going to be used to build quad-plex living spaces.

The council scheduled the appointments of the Dewey Economic Development Authority, however, the council must wait a while longer until the State of Oklahoma officially recognizes the group.

Matt Tranquill was on hand to explain the Dewey Blizzard of 2017 and to ask the council for a sponsorship. The event, which will be held on November 25, recieved $5,000 from the city.

Finally, a small strip of road was deeded back to Washington County. All other items in the meeting were approved.
