Tulsa Man Facing Multiple Charges After Police Chase

A man shoplifting sunglasses from a Bartlesville gas station led to high-speed pursuit over the weekend. Anthony Price appeared in front of a judge at the Washington County Courthouse on Monday facing multiple charges including evading, shoplifting and possession of a firearm.

According to an affidavit, a Bartlesville police officer was dispatched in reference to alleged shoplifting incident. The officer tried to approach Price who was sitting in a car outside of the gas station. Price immediately sped off to try to get away. He was traveling at high rate of speed on the wrong side of the road and nearly hit multiple vehicles before crashing the vehicle in a field near county road 1800.

After Price was placed in police custody the vehicle was searched and a stolen pistol, 312 bullets as well as the stolen merchandise were found.

Price is scheduled to appear in court next on November 17 and his bond was set at $250,000.
